Strive Notes top 5 blogs….

I thought I’d start to post a top 5 to share my favorite blogs of the week…they are in no particular order.   Let us know what you are all reading….

1.  Ad Agency Model Trumps PR Service Model.  Marcel Goldstein looks at how direct dialogue with audiences is changing how PR agencies work. “PR agencies deploy PR specialists on the front lines with clients, providing a narrow specialist’s view for addressing a company’s reputation. On the other hand, ad agencies use account management personnel–marketing generalists–to field client problems and then bring various specialists to the table.”

2.  Brian Connolly, Continued.  Media Orchard demonstrates what happens when someone ‘pisses off’ the blogging community.  Retrobution is swift. “He’s not a suspect. He’s not even a “person of interest.”  But since a fair number of folks are asking us about Brian Connolly’s association with the Strumpette (he does admit knowing his/her identity), we thought we’d share a little more background on Brian.”

 3.  A Question of Trust.  Karen Sams discusses why people trust bloggers over other communicators. “When it comes to choosing a product or service, there is nothing more reassuring than hearing many consumers, like yourself, confirm its greatness”

4. Mark Cuban’s Lessons for Revolutionaries.  Steve Rubel is a big fan.  “Yet, I feel like he’s my unofficial mentor. I have read and re-read his outstanding lessons on success and motivation dozens of times.”

5. Coleman leaves Money, joins Popular Science.  Bacons, excellent free update service. PopularsciencemagGlenn Coleman, 212-779-5390, has left his post as the assistant managing editor at Money to join Popular Science as a deputy editor.”
