News Release…Strive PR Partner Named Pet Lover of the Year

DOUGLAS, Isle of Man, April 1 /StriveNotes/ — The International Association of Pet Lovers today named Strive Public Relations Managing Partner, Sherrilynne Starkie, The 2006 Pet Lover of the Year.  The award was made in recognition of Ms Starkie’s life-long love of all things fluffy.

“Sherrilynne’s loving attitude toward furry creatures made her a natural choice for this year’s award,” a spokeswoman said. “Her fundraising efforts in support of the Isle of Man Rest Home for Retired Rodents is just one example of her tireless endeavours to make the world a better place for these humble creatures.”

The awards presentation will take place shortly after 12:00 noon BST at the Isle of Man Spider Sanctuary.

“I don’t know what to say.  I’m lost for words,” stated Sherrilynne Starkie, when told of her selection as this year’s recipient. “The rats are more deserving than I.  They should be receiving this award.”

    This award seems only appropriate – Sherrilynne has always had a great appreciation of all things fluffy and an amazing ability to maximise their potential. Plus, knowing her love of multiple-legged creatures, she must have been truly honoured to receive this prestigious award at The Spider Sanctuary.

    This is an truly amazing award for Sherrilynne. I am happy to say that I am luck and have known her for many years and truly know the extent of her love for animals.
