April 21st: This week’s top 5…
Here’s what I’ve been reading this week. What have you been reading?
1. More subscription choices, Neville Hobson gives a good overview of the RSS tools. I was so inspired that I’ve added tons to Strive Notes. Check out the new subscribe button in the right margin.
2. So you think your a blog hotshot?, the dep at Media Orchard points out a great reality check quiz from Blog Things. I’m not revealing my score..suffice it to say…room for improvement.
3. Wikipedia no longer defines the Wiki, here Rohit Bhargava looks at how corporates are starting to use wiki to engage communities. I really like the TripAdvisor Inside tool he points to. I can’t tell you how useful Trip Advisor has already been to me. I love their new tool.
4. Web Sudoko. If you are not already hooked, you will be soon. This free online game is lot’s of fun! (Does this mean I’m a sad geek?)
5. Analyst Insight, David Rossiter keeps us up-to-date with technology analyst news. Thanks David.

I just tried your link to trip advisor and it didn’t work.
OK, to put the cat among the pigeons: I think that corporates can use Wiki’s and blogs all they want to build ‘relationships’ with customers, but the whole approach is fundamentally corrupt. They’ll only ever push corporate guff out on them – and only the truly stupid will fall for that.
Hey Ray, that link works for me. Try again ok?
Wow..you are very harsh on your fellow communicators, Ray. I agree that wikis and blogs are not the right media for corporate selling, but surely you recognise they can add value to commuincations with various audiences.
Are you just being a cynical ol’hack, or is this an audition for Grumpy Old Men?
