Strive Notes

I watched a great new show on BBC 4 last night, (well it’s new to me anyway).  It’s a panel show hosted by Julian Fellowes, yes THAT Julian Fellowes (respected actor, author, producer, etc). Now he adds TV presenter to his CV, and he does a jolly good job too!

His quiz show sees celebrity guests competing in word games, grammar challenges and generally venting about all the terrible things people do to the English language.  It sounds a bit stuffy, and maybe it is, but SO WHAT?  I think it’s fabulous that the BBC has innovative programming to meet the needs of the nation’s pedants.  Writers, editors and readers…Rejoice! The series runs until July 8th so try to catch it!
