June 30th: This week’s top 5
Earlier this week, I updated my computer with the latest version of Internet Explorer, which has RSS built in, and it’s taking some getting used to. I’m keeping Pluck running, just in case. In the meantime here are this week’s five items I liked best.
1. Richard Bailey compares the work of a PR consultancy to that of a Dominican friar. Giggle.
2. Morgan McLintic asks if clippings services can survive in his weekly poll. So far, it’s evens. Karen Sams and Drew B are thinking about this stuff too. I’ve been looking into these kinds of services lately and don’t see the value for a small consulting firm like Strive Public Relations. I think we’ll stick to DIY.
3. Media Orchard looks at creating the “Sovereign Democracy” brand for Russia. I especially liked the input from the tech PR.
4. Audacious Communications looks a people’s RSS v email push preferences. The bottom line is that we are more emotionally connected to email than RSS which we see as less friendly. Education is the key to turning this around.
5. I’ve only got 4 this week, but my number 2 actually has 3 faves mentioned, so I reckon I’m ok.
Have a great weekend all you Strivers. Have a great Canada Day!
