BBC to make it personal

I’ve just heard that the BBC plans to let people create thier own personal radio stations from all its varied content across all its services.  MyBBCRadio will hand control to audiences and let them combine what they want to hear, when they want to hear it.  It combines podcasts and BBC Radio Player technology.  And it’s free!  Doesn’t that sound great!

A lot of us already use Pandora to create personal music stations, but this new BBC service will allow you to pick up an interview from Radio Five Live, and episode of The Archers and a few minutes of The Jonathan Ross show from Radio 2.  Whatever your preferences are. Jonathan Ross

I wonder if anyone else is doing something similar.  Does NPR have any plans? What about the CBC?  Do any of you Strivers know?
