Big changes at Manchester Evening News
Going digital is transforming many a newsroom these days and the Manchester Evening News is the latest to announce sweeping changes.
Forget calling the business desk with a business story, and the sports desk about sports. Now there is a central “editorial hub”.
The Press Gazette is reporting that because MEN Media’s portfolio includes the Manchester Evening News, more than 20 other print titles, Chanel M Television and Manchester Online, journalists are now expected to work across all the separate media.
Ok, it sounds good in theory. But it would be great if they gave us some guidance what’s the best way for PRs to approach them.
