November 24th: this week’s top 5
Congratulations or commiserations to everyone involved in the Isle of Man elections yesterday (depending on how your candidate did). And, I hope all you American Strivers are recovering well from their turkey overdose yesterday. Enjoy this week’s top 5: ![]()
1. How to articles are always good. Here Stuart Brown has some good advice on how to write a great headline.
2. Canada’s CBC has jumped on the BBC bandwagon by launching their own Dragon’s Den show. Dragon Sean Wise comments on the Isle of Man’s Fox’s Lair competition, loosely based on the Dragon’s Den television programme.
3. The UK national dailies with major web presences are in dispute about who has the most traffic. The Guardian’s OrganGrinder summarizes the various measurement tools in use and claims, unsurprisingly, that The Guardian Online comes on top.
4. Todd Zeigler at The Bivings Report has a good analysis of the value of newspaper blogs and gives them some sound advice.
5. IT Week’s Jack Woudhuysen taken a good look at how corporates should tackle blogger critics. He quotes Richard Edelman in the lead. It seems odd when you consider that Edelman’s tactic during the recent WalMart scandal isn’t exactly a case study of good practice.
Have a great weekend everybody!
