December 8th: this week’s top 5
As the holiday break inches ever closer, we find ourselves at the end of another week. There are the posts I enjoyed the most:
1. The Bad Pitch Blog always cracks me up, but this post is more serious. It says, maybe it’s time for PR pros to prove that they are able to provide clients with a learning experience. I’d like to think at Strive we do just that. It’s part of the value we add.
2. There’s a good discussion going at Todd Defren’s blog about social media press releases, Edelman’s new tools and if reporters even care.
3. Guy Kawaski confirms there the existence of Tech Bubble 2.0 with his Venture Capital Aptitude test. This is a Cosmo Quiz for young entrepreneurs dreaming of getting VC backing. We should get future Fox’s Lair finalists to do it!
4. Seth Godin predicts the end of Digg as we know it thanks to the increase in use of click farms by corporates. He could be right.
5. Simon Collister summarises some recent research findings about UK/US blogging preferences. If you thought the US is way ahead of the UK in blogging, think again.
And what, dear Strivers, have you all been reading?
