I finally got tagged with the meme that’s been making the rounds. Thanks Mike. So five things you don’t know about me? Here they are:

• My first job as a professional writer was at Atomic Energy of Canada Limited (AECL) in Chalk River, Ontario. We use to have to wear a dosimeter around the office to measure how much radiation we got exposed to each day. Mad.
• Despite my deceptively youthful appearance, I am old enough to have two adult daughters. They share a flat in Ottawa. One is a nurse and the other is in marketing. I’m going to visit them in four days and can’t wait to see them.
• My college class voted me the “most likely to marry a foreigner”. I can’t imagine why they did that, but it turns out they were right. I married Graham, a rocket scientist Scouser, in 1993 and been trailing him around the world ever since.
• I have a hole in my kitchen ceiling the size of a buick. The floor boards in the loo above gave way earlier this week and the shower stall, Graham and tons of water landed on the kitchen floor. What a mess.
• Most of females in my generation of the family have a double first name, as our parents caved into some kind of local fad. Most of us just go by the first half, but with four other Sherris in my elementary school, I decided to stick with Lynne as part of my first name. Hello Sandra-Lynne, Leslie-Anne, Stacey-Anne, Korri-Lynne and Kerri-Jane!
