ZDnet UK is reporting that LinkedIn, the social networking site for business people, has secured a ton of VC financing (£12.8m) in what may be its first step toward going public.
The story says LinkedIn will use the dosh for product development and to help market the network internationally.
This has got to be a good initiative. I’ve been a member since last summer, and frankly, I haven’t seen much benefit yet. But in principle, this concept should work. Am I doing something wrong?

the case is probably not that you are doing anything wrong, but it does take some time and effort and like any other endeavor – you need a goal. What are you looking for with linkedin? a person, a link into an account, a refferal, an old friend.
You are probably right Chris. Ive downloaded their Outlook tool bar. I’ll see what I can do with a little more effort.
