What means never having to say you’re sorry?
Seth Godin’s blog has Yahuda’s great analysis of different kinds of apologies that I found amusing.
Yesterday my webserver gave me the “We’re sorry that we caused this problem” apology when I really wanted the “We’re so sorry that we caused this problem; we are really distressed over this. Please know that we take this very seriously” one.
More importantly, I was working with a guy who definitely owed me “This is a huge oversight on our part…and we will review our procedures to ensure that this cannot happen again” but what I got was “We’re sorry that you feel that way.” These people should read Seth.
Yesterday was a day for apologies. Today was marginally better.

Hi Fernando…I did just check out your blog. It looks like you put a lot of work into it. But I’m afraid, I don’t get the lingo. Thanks for stopping by Strive Notes though.
