Unfortunately, orthotics frequently make problems of the feet worse, not better.
Let’s hope that this time around there is more science in this scientific breakthrough.
The CAD/CAM system is a highly sophisticated tool which eliminates may problems associated with traditional orthotic fabrication. However, it is only a tool; the finished orthotic will only work if the prescription is based on a sound biomechanical assessment of the patient by an experienced and qualified medical practitioner.
