If you’re sick of hearing about the much-hyped Web 2.0 and all the social media technologies the term entails, you’ll be happy to hear that the excitement could soon be all over. Web 2.0 is old hat. Web 3.0 is here at last!
That’s right, interactive social media has gone mobile and the next generation of ‘cool’ applications are now arriving on hand-held devices near you.
The first in what could be a whole new wave of mini applications for mobile phones is Twitter, a new service that is expected to have the same mass market appeal as MySpace and YouTube.
