Internet World
I never thought I’d be excited about Internet World again. The last time I attended was in 2000 in New York City. The bubble was still in the ascendant, buzz was alive and those of us in the tech world were all very, very happy.
But then the bubble went pop! Tradshow budgets dried up.
And now, digital business is booming again, fuelled by the excitement of Web 2.0 applications and the energy of next generation mobility. Tech Tradeshows are once again cool.
I’m leaving today for London’s Earls Court for Internet World 2007, the UK’s biggest business internet and digital business exhibition and conference. More than 250 companies are showcasing their products and services on the trade show floor. The conference boasts more than 200 expert speakers covering everything from the new technological advances to the lastest trends in social networking.
Check out this week’s Isle of Man Examiner Tech Talk column to find out what Isle of Man companies are taking part.
See you there….light blogging ahead.
