eGaming…BCS looks into the future
The British Computer Society (Isle of Man) are pleased to announce the second event in their 2007 annual programme, on Wednesday 17th October, Douglas Hilton, 18.00.
This event is intended to be a discussion forum where members can bring up issues, concerns and views about eGaming with respect to both the global aspect and a Manx perspective. The eGaming industry is multifaceted; there are legislative, business and technical aspects to consider and we have brought together a varied panel of experts with a wide variety of experiences in the field of eGaming. This will not be a lecture, but a dialog about your concerns, experiences and ideas in this exciting field which is being touted as being one of the growth areas supporting the Isle of Man’s future.
Panel members:
- John Spellman (Mr Spellman is the CEO of MEGA, an association of leading organisations in the field of online gaming)
- Miles Benham (Mr. Benham is actively involved on the Island’s growing on-line gambling and bookmaking industry. He represents a number of online casinos who hold Manx licences)
- Rick Liotta (Mr Liotta is a Financial Consultant for Poker Stars, an Isle of Man based eGaming company offering the most popular poker games from cardrooms around the world such as Texas Hold’em, Omaha and Stud.
- Chris Gledhill (Mr Gledhill is MD of PDMS, who have been directly involved in the development and hosting of a number of egaming projects both in the Isle of Man and in other jurisdictions. Their experience includes sports and tote betting and internet poker sites.)
