End of Strumpette?

Amanda Chapel has quit as the managing editor of Strumpette. Should we believe her this time? Or is this another ruse? I guess only time will tell, but I suspect that we’ve not heard the last of her.

I am 100 per cent certain that you haven’t seen the last of her. It’s a very small world.
I agree Gary. Amanda will be back before long. It’s a given.
Honestly, I think she is gone.
It’s exhausting enough to maintain a pace of daily content for a site. It’s even harder when you’re managing as many contributors as “Amanda” did. And keeping all of the Amandae in line with an even tone, and a common friends/enemies list.
The site has an identity now. If it finds a buyer and new editor, it can successfully make the transition, much in the same way Wonkette survived the departure of Ann Marie Cox.
Ergo, no need for Amanda to return.
Maybe Amanda just rippled the waves and now that canoe can ride the rapids. Something like that, starring Martin Short.
When you run out of good ‘PR’ to attract attention ‘publicity’ isn’t such a bad option. The worst thing that can happen is to be ignored or forgotten. Even bad publicity gives you an opportunity to spin and exonerate yourself at a later date. You may be surprised to learn that I enjoy a little bit of controversy myself. Sometimes we need to blow the cobwebs away and ruffle a few feathers. This is a reference of course to the Lesser Spotted Transylvanian Spider Bird not a mixed metaphor.
Wanted to make sure you saw Week in Review on this on http://prblognews.com. Maybe it’s not the end, only the next phase. The reaction to Amanda’s “demise” has been shocking to me.
