October’s fave five

Autumn TreeOctober has come and gone.  I’ve only just now had time to look at Strive Notes’ stats for the month. Posting is up and so is traffic, thanks in part to Jo and Deana’s recent contributions.  Here are the most popular post for the month.

5. Jo is doing a good job with her weekly Top 5s and they are proving to be popular.

4.  My Tech Talk column on Google’s acquisition of Jaiku did rather well. I’m really interested to see how Web 2.0’s migration to the hand set will play out.

3. Discussions of Strumpette’s disappearance made this post reach the top five.  My prediction of a very short retirement proved sound.  Brian Connelly was blogging again within a couple of weeks, albeit at a new site.

2.  A surprising entry on this list of October’s most popular was my post about Peel Bay Festival organiser, Jonathan Irving’s appearance at the Junior Chamber of Commerce event.   I guess people are interested to hear about plans for future events.

And finally, the single most popular Strive Note for October 2007…

1.  My Tech Talk column on crowdsourcing in music. Sellaband.com really is opening doors for unsigned bands. Cool concept.
