		<description>Jed, I agree. I think to be successful in PR you need two fundamental personality traits.  Firstly you need to be proactive. You must want to get things done! Secondly you have to be excited. If you&#039;re not passionate about what you do everyday for a living, it&#039;s time to go home. 

On top of this you also need qualifications, training, experience yadda yadda yadda.</description>

		<description>Excellent post, although my only qualm is with point five. I work in PR but I have a degree in Eng Lit and Writing, so technically, I&#039;m not qualified, but I really think that PR is about personality. 

Sure the technical aspects (writing, strategy etc) are equally important, but I think that if your personality is the correct fit, then the technical aspects should feel like common sense more than technical knowledge... 

I&#039;m always learning, so I might change my mind about this soon!</description>
