Firefox 3 aims for record

Tuesday 17 June 2008 was a pretty important day in the Internet world.
It’s the day that Mozilla released Firefox 3, a new and improved version of its free web browser that has become the biggest rival of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer. As part of Mozilla’s launch strategy, they planned an attempt to set a world record for downloads in one day. It started at 10 a.m. Pacific time when Firefox 3 was officially released and the 24-hour race into the Guinness Book of World Records was on. Click here to read the rest of this Tech Talk column.
