And what a wonderful time it is to be working in the technology industry, right? Nah…it’s all doom and gloom and, methinks, things will get worse before they get better.

It seems that IT professionals in the North West are already taking a hit in this economic downturn.

According to a study based on data from e-skills UK, a sector skills council, people working in IT in the UK’s North West have seen their pay drop in the past year while folks in London have actually gotten a salary bump, despite the credit crunch.
