Also, the whole point of the portrait is to upset people and get them thinking about popular culture etc. In the wider context of unmade beds and sawed off sheep you can see where this portrait fits. And you are right, some PR should have flagged this as potential issue in using the film in Beijing, but no one did. Hence Simon’s point.

Agree the story is overblown, but surely something like this could have been vetted a little more carefully? Nobody putting together what was effectively a promo video for the UK thought to themselves: “Hmm, picture of a child murderer, might that upset a few people?”

We were discussing What is 3.0? Some said using a phone browsers, some said being able to use the handheld for all business apps. Others said it was to use the mobile phone for commerce and epayment. I guess consensus is that all 3.0 is already here and will continue to evolve.

Really good to see this moving forward like this - could you share some of the thoughts you have on Web 3.0 - personally, I dont think it will come about - too much disagreement on the naming and versioning thing. Is it semantic, is it bots, is it virtual world?

In October we are talking about who owns Social Media in the enterprise (PR, MKTG, Corp Comms, Web, IT) - should be an interesting fall…

Two typical spelling/grammar errors I’ve seen corrected in several retailers are 1) the misspelling of stationery (yes,the item was often spelled with an “a” on an aisle sign), and 2) in the express checkout lanes of many supermarkets, the signs have been changed from 10 items or less to 10 items or fewer. Sometimes I wish I didn’t pay attention to these things at all; if I didn’t, I probably would get home having forgotten to buy something less often. ; - )
