Sherrilynne Starkie, managing partner

For 17 years, Sherrilynne has been advising blue-chip organisations on both sides of the Atlantic…covering Britain, Canada and the United States. She’s helped start-ups secure venture capital, conglomerates smooth ruffled employee feathers and newcomers build community bridges. She’s warmed up markets, increased footfall, sold products and services and cemented brands. Her experience ranges from technology & telecommunications to retail, banking & financial services to human resources & training. It covers postal services, travel/tourism, associations and more. She’s worked for SurfControl, Netcetera, PDMS Limited, ntl, Charterhouse Group International, Bradford & Bingley International, Chartered Institute of Marketing, Fox Capital, Kurawood, and many more. Sherrilynne is member of the Chartered Institute of Markets, an Associate of British Computer Society, Junior Achievement Isle of Man’s marketing committee and writes a weekly column, Tech Talk, for the Isle of Man Examiner.


Melanie Wright, senior writer

Mel Wright, who covers the South for Isle of Man newspapers, is Strive PR’s senior writer in the Isle of Man. She is an extremely experienced journalist having trained at The Sunday Times and having held various editorial roles on both consumer and business titles in the UK, Australia and in the Isle of Man. She was lead writer at the Australian Financial Review for many years.

Charlie Hamilton, account assistant

A recent graduate of the University of Sunderland’s CIPR Accredited PR course, Charlie is trained in all aspects of PR including strategy, crisis management. She is an excellent writer and, as a digital native, navigates online social media with ease. She is involved in many aspects of client services.

Caroline Morris, account assistant

Having recently graduated from Southampton Solent University with a BA (Hons) in writing. fashion and culture, Caroline brings strong writing skills to the team and is a true media maven. She is involved in implementing client programmes, industry research and provides administrative support to Strive’s team of consultants.
