Deana’s space odyssey
My post this week is traveling much further afield than my last, which went as far as Newton Ayecliff.
This week I have been looking at the space industry right here in the Isle of Man, something, I admit, I knew very little about. Space to me was more something boys dream about or the basis of the latest sci-fi book.
Yet it actually isn’t. It is as relevant to most of our everyday lives as is car manufacturing. The research and ideas that are being developed seem to be so far away from my sci -fi image. There are a number of teams here on the island providing solutions to global commercial issues.
…It makes you think when you walk along the streets of Douglas, what actually is going on behind some of the doors with shiny polished plaques?

tell me more it sounds fascinating - would love some examples - feel a release coming on…
I am a student from the International Space University, Strasbourg France, and am here on the Isle of Man doing an internship with the law firm CAINS Advocates for the next 3 months. Am always interested to talk to people that have an interest in space so get in touch if you want to know more or if you have any advice for me..regards
